2013 saw Zurouna settle itself within the bustling South Yarra stretch that is Toorak Road. A short stroll to cosmopolitan Chapel Street and the elegant Como Centre, Zurouna adds a modern Middle-Eastern angle to the diversity of the neighborhood. Zurouna enjoys hosting a varied range of diners from relaxed and loyal locals, to the everyday passer-by, to diners from around the globe. Owners Adam and Dahouk, bring an approach to cuisine that blends the simplicity and freshness of traditional Middle Eastern cooking with the vast flavours of the sea and the more rustic, traditional flavours of the mountains and deserts of the Middle East.

Zurouna, meaning “come over” or “drop-in” aims to recapture the relaxed nature of Middle Eastern dining mixed with that little bit of flare that is South Yarra! Whether it’s just for a “pop-in” meal, a Sunday family lunch or even a birthday banquet, Zurouna provides a versatile range of dining options to suit the diversity of its diners. Dahouk’s extensive experience in Middle Eastern restaurants since her arrival from Lebanon as a teenager in 1976, coupled with Adam’s experience as a chef for the last 15 years both in Australia and the Middle East provide the strong foundation on which this exciting new venture is built.
